Bilbao Airport (Loiu) (IATA code BIO) is the main airport in the Basque Country. It is in the municipality of Loiu, about 12 km from central Bilbao, and has an intercity bus stop at the terminal.
On the arrivals level there is a Bizkaibus customer service and ticket desk, where you can also top up your Barik card.

Service linking Termibus with the airport, with stops at Gran Vía 79, Plaza Moyúa (Osaguna/Hacienda) and Alameda Recalde 11.

- Bilbao → Airport: 5:00 to 22:00, every 15 minutes (at :00, :15, :30 and :45).

Lurraldebus — line DO04 Donostia · (Zarautz) · Bilbao Airport
Since March 2024, Lurraldebus lines connecting with Loiu are integrated into the MUGI system.
- Donostia → Airport: 5:00 to 21:00, every 60 minutes. All services stop at Zarautz fifteen minutes after leaving Donostia when the ticket has that origin.
- Airport → Donostia: weekends 6:45 to 22:45; weekdays 7:45 to 22:45 plus a service at 0:00. Every 60 minutes.
Lurraldebus — line DG12 Bilbao Airport · Zalduspe Ospitalea (Mondragón)
Connection with Oñati and Arrasate:
- From Oñati: departs daily at 5:00.
- From Arrasate: 5:15, 8:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:15 and 21:15.
- From the airport: 6:45, 9:45, 12:45, 15:45 and 19:15 to Arrasate; 23:15 to Oñati.
Autobuses La Unión — line A3720 Bilbao Airport · Vitoria-Gasteiz
Line connecting Loiu airport with central Vitoria-Gasteiz (and Foronda airport on the same route). Winter and summer timetables are published on the operator's website.
