The project
Two people, more than twenty years in technology
Sarebus.com is a project by two friends with more than twenty years of experience in technology. We have spent years working with transport data and we are passionate about turning scattered information into useful tools for travellers.
Data at scale
Thousands of records, one platform
- Providers
- 33
- Trips
- 140,325
- Stops
- 7,264
We work with 33 providers, 140,325 scheduled trips and 7,264 stops. These are thousands of up-to-date records powering Sarebus and giving us a unified view of regional transport.
Solutions for getting around
When generic maps are not enough
We build technology to improve bus transport information. We also cross other datasets — trains and other travel modes — when they help complete a journey. We make it easier for people who need to get from A to B in situations where Google Maps and other generic services do not yet give a reliable answer.
Data with meaning
Our own panel to unify stops and localities
We do not just collect thousands of data points — we give them meaning by cross-referencing, renaming and repositioning them. Each operator names the same stops differently; to unify them we built a complex admin panel that geolocates the nearest points and merges them when we know they are the same stop. We also rename and group localities — several stops within the same town — with a robust, maintained working infrastructure.
